Overview

AAA Club Alliance is seeking full-time Tow Truck Drivers for their Roadside Assistance team in Springfield, VA. The role involves providing essential roadside support to members, including changing flat tires, jumpstarting batteries, and towing vehicles, often in varying weather conditions. Ideal candidates should have a strong customer service mindset and a passion for helping others.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide lock-out, fuel delivery, battery jump starts, and tire change services
  • Conduct tow and recovery services as per guidelines
  • Sell and install car batteries for mobile battery positions
  • Communicate effectively with members to ensure their safety and satisfaction
  • Perform accurate data entry for call information and payments
  • Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure safety
  • Secure fleet vehicle and equipment as needed
  • Participate in special events promoting the AAA brand

Required skills

  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years experience in automotive/mechanical environment or customer service
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
  • Effective communication skills in verbal and written formats
  • Familiarity with technology such as GPS
  • Ability to pass a physical examination
