Overview

AAA Club Alliance is seeking dependable and empathetic Tow Truck Drivers (Non-CDL) for their Roadside Assistance team in Springfield, Virginia. The role involves assisting members with services such as changing flat tires, jumpstarting batteries, and towing vehicles, often in various weather conditions. Candidates should be strong customer service individuals who enjoy helping others and can handle physical demands of the job.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide lock-out, fuel delivery, battery jump starts, and tire change services
  • Provide tow and recovery services according to established guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with members to keep them informed and ensure safety
  • Enter call information and process payments accurately using in-truck technology
  • Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure safety and compliance
  • Participate in special events promoting the AAA brand
  • Complete required training courses within the first 60 days of hire

Required skills

  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain all state and local licensing requirements
  • 3 years of experience in an automotive/mechanical environment or customer service role
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Effective communication skills in writing and verbally
  • Familiarity with GPS and in-truck technology
  • Ability to pass required physical examinations and background checks
