This is not a desk-only management position. We partner with companies of all sizes to deliver manufacturing and assembly solutions that support their success.Our 120,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Fitchburg, Massachusetts supports projects from concept through commercialization across medical, industrial, and commercial markets.What We OfferCompetitive salary with opportunity for growthComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and company-paid holidaysA collaborative, team-oriented cultureOpportunity to make a direct impact on tooling strategy and operationsWhat You'll DoWork alongside Mold Makers and Tool Room personnel on mold construction, repair, modification, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.Mentor, coach, and train mold makers, apprentices, and technical personnel.Develop technical talent and help build the next generation of skilled mold makers.Foster a culture of craftsmanship, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.Lead recruiting, onboarding, training, and development initiatives within the Tool Room.Direct daily tool room operations supporting production and new product development.Establish priorities and schedules to support production demands and customer requirements.Oversee mold construction, assembly, fitting, testing, qualification, repair, and maintenance activities.Ensure tooling documentation, maintenance records, and work orders are maintained accurately.Support hands-on troubleshooting of critical production and tooling issues as needed.Own the lifecycle management of all tooling assets.Develop and improve preventive maintenance and tooling reliability programs.Monitor tooling performance and drive improvements in uptime, mold life, productivity, and quality.Lead root cause investigations related to tooling and manufacturing issues.Identify and implement tooling improvements that reduce costs and improve performance.Participate in mold design reviews and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) discussions.Support tooling activities associated with new product introductions and product launches.Evaluate and qualify mold suppliers and tooling vendors.Manage external tooling projects, timelines, costs, and supplier performance.Ensure successful mold validation, qualification, and production release activities.Support injection molding operations through technical expertise and troubleshooting.Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Manufacturing teams.Lead initiatives focused on scrap reduction, downtime reduction, OEE improvement, and tooling reliability.Standardize best practices for mold maintenance and tool room operations.Promote Lean Manufacturing principles throughout the departmen
