Overview

U.S. Tsubaki Power Transmission, LLC is seeking a Tooling / Die Assembler for the 3rd shift in Sandusky, Ohio. The role involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to assemble dies and tools while ensuring precision and adherence to technical specifications.

Key responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints to visualize final forms of dies, parts, or tools
  • Plan sequence of operations for tooling setup
  • Set up and operate machine tools such as manual grinders
  • Verify dimensions and alignments of finished parts using measuring instruments
  • Assemble jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies using various equipment
  • Troubleshoot poor performing tools, identifying deficiencies
  • Inventory and request alternative cutting tools and supplies

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 5+ years working in a machine shop environment
  • Experience with grinders and related equipment
  • Basic math skills including trigonometry
  • Mechanical aptitude and technical problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and time management
