Job Description

Overview

The Tooling Design Engineer at Bundy Baking Solutions will focus on the mechanical layout and design of tooling for custom engineered, stamped products. This on-site role involves collaboration with sales, project management, and troubleshooting production issues in the metal forming shop.

Key responsibilities

  • Design new products and dies to customer specifications in collaboration with Sales
  • Coordinate with the Tool Shop to ensure manufacturability
  • Manage purchasing of tool materials and coordinate the tool build process
  • Troubleshoot production issues in the metal forming shop
  • Revise existing die designs to resolve production issues
  • Develop and implement process improvements for efficiency in metal forming operations

Required skills

  • Proficient in SolidWorks for modeling products and dies
  • Experience in Metal Stamping
  • Project Engineering experience in planning and executing die manufacturing
  • Technical experience in machining and/or metal stamping environment
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience with at least 3 years in mechanical design
