Job Description

Overview

The Tooling Design Engineer at Bundy Baking Solutions is responsible for the mechanical layout and design of tooling for custom engineered stamped products. This on-site role in Humboldt, TN involves collaboration with sales for product design, project management of tool materials, and troubleshooting production issues in the metal forming shop.

Key responsibilities

  • Design new products and dies to customer specifications in collaboration with Sales.
  • Coordinate with the Tool Shop for Design for Manufacturability.
  • Manage the purchasing of tool materials and coordination of the tool build process.
  • Participate in troubleshooting of production issues in the metal forming shop.
  • Revise existing die designs to solve production issues.
  • Develop and implement process improvements for metal forming operations.

Required skills

  • Proficient in SolidWorks for modeling and creating detail drawings.
  • Experience in Metal Stamping.
  • Project Engineering experience for planning and executing die manufacturing.
  • Technical experience in a machining and/or metal stamping environment.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience in mechanical design.
