Job Description Job Description The Tooling Associate position designs, plans, constructs, and alter production machines, equipment, physical structures and infrastructure within the facility and groundsEssential Functions:Design, fabricate and implement tooling, gages, machine fixtures used in productionMonitor the tools used to ensure efficiency and identify necessary repairs or improvementsService and repair tooling (strip down, clean, lubricate and rebuild)Analyze specifications, set up and operate machine toolsMaintain, adjust, improve, and develop new tooling, gages, and machine fixturesPurchasing and quotation responsibilities, as well as hands on tasks in the shop troubleshooting and working directly with machine setup and operators to gain feedback on tooling and ideas for improvementEnsure operations meet standards and continuous improvement effortsUndertake continuous training and developmentAccurately complete all required paperwork in a timely mannerCommunicate with other departments as necessaryKeep work areas clean and organizedAdhere to all company rules and policiesPerforms other related duties as assigned by supervisor
