Overview

North Bay Children is seeking a dedicated Toddler Teacher for their Healdsburg location. The role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, maintaining a safe and orderly environment, and collaborating with a teaching team to meet the developmental needs of children. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism and teamwork while adhering to established best practices and licensing requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and implement diverse, age-appropriate activities
  • Maintain a safe and inviting classroom environment
  • Collaborate with teaching team and respond to management feedback
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of children's development
  • Participate in parent/teacher conferences
  • Engage in regular self-assessment and goal setting
  • Maintain classroom documents and student records
  • Report any injuries to the Head Teacher or Site Supervisor
  • Assist with daily classroom and outside area set-up

Required skills

  • 5 years experience in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
  • 12 ECE units including Infant/Toddler Development
  • CTC Teacher Permit
  • Knowledge of Community Care Licensing requirements
  • Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification
  • Proficient in written and spoken Spanish (preferred but not required)
