Job Description

Overview

North Bay Children is looking for a dedicated Toddler Teacher to join their team in Santa Rosa, California. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in early childhood education and be committed to fostering a positive learning environment for young children, in alignment with the organization's philosophies and best practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and implement diverse, age-appropriate activities with the teaching team
  • Maintain a safe and inviting classroom environment
  • Engage in regular self-assessment and participate in performance evaluations
  • Conduct ongoing Desired Results Developmental Assessments (DRDP) on children
  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with parents
  • Participate in scheduled staff development days and training sessions
  • Implement specific child behavior plans and interventions

Required skills

  • 5 years experience in early childhood education programs
  • 24 ECE units plus 6 units in Infant/Toddler Development
  • CTC Teacher Permit or similar qualifications
  • Certification in Pediatric First Aid and CPR
  • Knowledge of Community Care Licensing and California Department of Education requirements
  • Bilingual communication skills in Spanish (preferred)
