Job Description

Overview

CONNECTICUT INSTITUTE FOR COMMUNITIES INC is looking for full-time Toddler Teachers for their Early Learning Programs in Danbury, Connecticut. The role involves planning and implementing activities to support the development of toddlers aged 18 months to 3 years while collaborating with a co-teacher and other support staff.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and implement weekly lesson plans for 8 toddlers
  • Support students alongside a co-teacher
  • Document observations in Teaching Strategies Gold
  • Enhance language development using LENA technology
  • Communicate child routines with parents through Procare Software and Remind messaging
  • Receive curriculum support and coaching from education coaches

Required skills

  • CDA Certification or 12 College Credits in Early Childhood Education
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Psychology (Preferred)
  • Teaching experience: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Childcare experience: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Ability to pass the State of CT Office of Early Childhood Background Check
  • Bilingual skills (strongly encouraged)
