Overview

North Bay Children is seeking a Toddler Teacher for their Petaluma, California location. The role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities while working collaboratively with a teaching team to meet the diverse developmental needs of children.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and implement diverse, age-appropriate activities.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly environment in classrooms and outdoor areas.
  • Engage in self-assessment and participate in performance evaluations.
  • Conduct and participate in semi-annual parent/teacher conferences.
  • Provide warm and positive attention to each child.
  • Maintain required supervision of children at all times.
  • Collaborate with staff on classroom documentation.
  • Assist in maintaining an appealing classroom appearance.

Required skills

  • 5 years experience in Early Childhood Education (ECE) programs.
  • 12 ECE units plus 6 units in Infant/Toddler Development.
  • CTC Teacher Permit.
  • Solid knowledge of Community Care Licensing requirements.
  • Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Written and spoken Spanish skills (preferred but not required).
