Overview

The Tire Warehouse Manager at Direct Discount Tire plays a critical role in managing daily warehouse operations, including tire receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment. As a working leader, this position is responsible for directing the warehouse team while ensuring compliance with safety, productivity, and customer service standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping
  • Assist customers with orders, sales, and payments
  • Ensure accurate inventory control and proper tire storage procedures
  • Monitor workflow to meet productivity and order fulfillment deadlines
  • Enforce safety standards and inspect inbound and outbound shipments
  • Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Communicate operational issues or staffing needs to the Warehouse Manager
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in tire distribution
  • Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse best practices
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Computer skills (inventory systems, scanners, Microsoft Office)
