Description: SummaryThe Tire Warehouse Lead assists the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations, including tire receiving, storage, inventory control, and order fulfillment. This role serves as a working leader, providing direction and support to warehouse team members while ensuring safety, accuracy, productivity, and customer service standards are met.Essential FunctionsLead and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping.Assist customers with orders, sales, and payments.Ensure accurate inventory control, cycle counts, and proper tire storage procedures.Monitor workflow to meet productivity and order fulfillment deadlinesEnforce safety standards, including proper lifting techniques and equipment useFollow warehouse processes, safety, and quality standardsInspect inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and damageOperate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and tire handling equipmentCommunicate operational issues or staffing needs to the Warehouse ManagerMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environmentSupport continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce errors Requirements: QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required2+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in tire distribution or an automotive environmentPrior lead or supervisory experience preferredKnowledge of inventory management and warehouse best practicesForklift certification or the ability to obtain certificationStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to lift to 75 lbs and stand/walk for extended periodsComputer skills (inventory systems, scanners, or Microsoft Office experience required)Core CompetenciesLeadership and team coordinationAttention to detail and accuracySafety awarenessTime management and problem-solvingDependability and accountabilityWork Environment & Physical DemandsWarehouse environment with exposure to temperature variationsFrequent lifting, bending, and standingUse of warehouse equipment and toolsBenefits Health, dental, and vision insuranceSupplemental Insurance401(k) with up to a 4% company match.Paid time off and holidaysEmployee discountsEqual Employment Opportunity StatementDirect Discount Tire is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to creating an inclusive workplace for all employees.PI914a6484ad3e-3177
