Job Description

Overview

The Tire Technician at MarBorg Industries is responsible for performing tire inspections, repairs, and replacements for the fleet. Working in a results-oriented, fast-paced shop environment, the technician ensures compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines while collaborating as part of a team.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform tire inspections, repairs, and replacements
  • Utilize fleet maintenance software to document repair orders
  • Manage inventory of tires including ordering and receiving
  • Assist mechanics with project work
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area according to Corporate/OSHA Standards
  • Conduct out of service tire reviews and analysis
  • Perform tire service calls as necessary
  • Review failed tires for warranty consideration

Required skills

  • TIA certification (preferred)
  • Experience with tire inspections and repairs
  • Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and air tools
  • Familiarity with fleet maintenance software
  • Valid driver's license (commercial license is a plus)
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of wheel torque procedures
  • Customer service skills
  • Safety consciousness
  • Problem-solving and resourcefulness
