Overview

Thompson Tire & Service is looking for a Tire Production Associate to join their team in Dubuque, Iowa. This role involves safely and efficiently retreading commercial tires in their Goodyear Authorized Retread plant, which offers opportunities to learn various stages of the tire retreading process.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect tires to assess if they can be retread
  • Buff the casing to remove worn tread
  • Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the tire casing
  • Repair the casing using rubber cement or a patch
  • Apply new tread to build the tire
  • Cure the tire to mold the retread application
  • Perform final inspection to ensure a safe and quality product
  • Collaborate with a small team and assist other members as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
