Job Description

Overview

The Physical Therapist at CHRISTUS Health is responsible for assessing, planning, evaluating, and implementing care for patients in need of physical therapy. The role requires adherence to standards of the Physical Therapy Practice Act and involves working in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best care for patients.

Key responsibilities

  • Gathers pertinent data from charts and other caregivers
  • Independently assesses all patient types as assigned
  • Recognizes additional needs during evaluation and makes decisions accordingly
  • Interprets results and formulates relevant, measurable, realistic, and attainable goals
  • Reassesses patient progress regularly or as needed
  • Identifies appropriate equipment and discusses options with patients and families

Required skills

  • Doctorate preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • LPT License in state of employment required
  • BLS certification required
  • Healthcare & Medical knowledge
  • Physical Therapy expertise
  • Patient Assessment skills
