DescriptionSummary:Performs treatments and provides exercise instruction and demonstration for patients. Assists the Physical Therapist during patient testing, evaluations and complex procedures. Carries out a program of corrective exercise and treatment for assigned patients, as determined by evaluation by a Physical Therapist. Instructs patients on segments of the program.Responsibilities:Able to independently deliver a treatment plan that addresses identified problem(s), deficits and discharge needs and assists with decreasing LOSActively seeks out a diagnosis mix to facilitate ability to independently treat throughout the facilityDemonstrates skilled expertise when monitoring patients during treatmentAble to apply reasoning and judgment to skilled observations and reports adverse reactions to physician, supervising PT and/or nursingReports findings to supervising PT and solicits their involvement when neededDemonstrates a working knowledge of the use of modalities and their contraindicationsActively seeks research based treatments and applies to daily treatmentKnowledgeable of available wound care supplies, current protocolsRequirements:Associate DegreeLPTA License in the state of employment or Compact requiredBLSWork Schedule:4 Days - 10 HoursWork Type: Full Time
