Job Title: Physical Therapist (Outpatient, Days) Tawas City, MI (Perm Placement) Position Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our outpatient team, providing high-quality patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment. The role involves working primarily in outpatient settings with occasional acute care coverage, focusing on assessment, treatment planning, intervention, and patient education. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular functions through formal and informal testing measures.Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment data, patient tolerance, and clinical objectives, ensuring alignment with physician orders and treatment standards.Document and communicate treatment plans in written form, including updates as patient conditions evolve, and co-sign verbal orders as necessary.Coordinate treatment schedules with patients, families, and clinical support staff, clearly explaining treatment purposes, procedures, prognosis, and alternatives.Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, Aides, students, and support staff, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.Recommend and facilitate the procurement of adaptive and supportive equipment based on patient assessments, assisting with ordering and setup.Record all documentation timely and accurately to meet billing and regulatory requirements, including patient responses and changes in condition.Educate patients and caregivers on treatment routines, home exercises, safety, and recovery, employing effective teaching strategies.Engage in community outreach and promote physical therapy services within the health system and broader community to enhance awareness and access.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, participating in meetings and contributing to program development and process improvement initiatives.Function as a case manager for assigned patients, ensuring coordinated and efficient care delivery.Uphold confidentiality, demonstrate professionalism, and adhere to safety standards, including OSHA compliance.Pursue ongoing professional development and participate in organizational learning opportunities.Qualifications: Bachelor s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.Valid state licensure in Michigan.Minimum of one year of outpatient physical therapy experience preferred.Strong knowledge of assessment techniques and therapeutic interventions.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Competency in Microsoft Windows and familiarity with health record documentation systems.Commitment to patient-centered care and organizational values: excellence, integrity, teamwork, and accountability.Physical ability to perform job functions, including lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, standing, walking, and postural changes.Demonstrated understanding of safety protocols related to infection control and bloodborne pathogens.Benefits and Opportunities: Competitive salary starting at $37 per hour, commensurate with experience.$20,000 sign-on bonus with a two-year commitment.Supportive work environment fostering professional development and growth.Opportunities to participate in community outreach, education, and program enhancement.Ongoing training, including OSHA compliance and other learning initiatives.Work Environment:This position involves working in outpatient settings with exposure to various clinical environments, including potential exposure to communicable diseases.
