Overview

VieMed Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join their outpatient care team in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. This permanent part-time position involves patient assessments, individualized treatment planning, and therapy interventions aimed at enhancing functional abilities in a community-focused healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations using formal and informal testing methods
  • Develop goal-specific treatment plans based on assessment data and physician orders
  • Administer therapy interventions including exercises and modalities tailored to patient needs
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on diagnosis, treatment, and home exercise programs
  • Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and aides, ensuring team collaboration and compliance
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatment responses
  • Recommend and coordinate adaptive equipment for patients
  • Engage with the community to promote physical therapy services and participate in outreach initiatives

Required skills

  • Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Michigan
  • Experience in outpatient therapy, with adaptability to acute care settings preferred
