VieMed Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist for a full-time, permanent outpatient position in Alpena, MI. Key responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' functions using formal and informal testing methods.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with physician directives.

  • Educate patients and families on pathology, treatment options, and home care strategies.
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members for cohesive patient care.
  • Supervise and delegate responsibilities to support staff.
  • Recommend and facilitate acquisition of adaptive equipment.
  • Document patient interactions and interventions accurately and timely.
  • Promote community awareness of physical therapy services.
  • Engage in continuous learning and process improvement initiatives.

Required skills

  • Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • Competence in outpatient physical therapy techniques and assessments
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Experience supervising or mentoring support staff
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and electronic documentation systems
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements
  • Physical ability to perform job functions, including lifting up to 50 lbs
