Overview

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient acute care hospital in New Bedford, Massachusetts. This role involves evaluating and treating adult and geriatric patients with diverse rehabilitation needs in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat adult and geriatric patients across a variety of acute care units
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and implement evidence-based interventions
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and therapists
  • Perform thorough physical therapy evaluations and patient education
  • Manage a caseload that includes patients recovering from orthopedic procedures and neurologic events
  • Participate in early mobility and functional restoration programs
  • Cover multiple hospital floors and participate in weekend or holiday shifts as needed

Required skills

  • Licensed Physical Therapist in Massachusetts
  • 1 year experience in inpatient rehabilitation
  • Clinical evaluation and patient care
  • Mobility assessment and intervention strategies
  • Experience in orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation
