Overview

AMN Healthcare is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist (PT) to join a school district in Easton, MD. The role primarily involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy services to students of all ages, with a focus on restoring physical function and improving mobility.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with school district staff to support students' physical functions
  • Screen and evaluate students for Physical Therapy treatment
  • Diagnose movement dysfunctions and create personalized treatment plans
  • Provide evidence-based direct and consultative therapy services
  • Maintain accurate documentation and billing per district and state standards
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, district staff, and families regarding student treatment

Required skills

  • Graduate from an accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program
  • Pass the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
  • Active Physical Therapy (PT) license in MD
  • Clear and articulate communication skills
  • Ability to explain results to various audiences
  • Previous school experience is a plus
  • Completion of a criminal record and background check
