Overview

AMN Healthcare is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist (PT) to work in a school district in Easton, MD, providing services to children of all ages. The role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with educational staff to support students' physical needs and improve their functional abilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with the district as part of a collaborative team to restore and maintain students' physical functions.
  • Screen and evaluate students referred for Physical Therapy treatment.
  • Diagnose movement dysfunction and create personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based direct and consultative therapy services.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and billing per district and state standards.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, district staff, and families regarding student treatment.

Required skills

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
  • Active Physical Therapy (PT) license in MD
  • Ability to pass the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
  • Clear and articulate communication skills
  • Previous school experience is a plus
  • Completion of a criminal record and background check
