Job Description

Overview

The Therapist/Physical Therapist at CHRISTUS Health is responsible for implementing and coordinating patient care activities while collaborating with other clinical associates. They ensure quality, cost-effective care through effective communication, documentation, and treatment delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Documents progress notes and treatments in accordance with departmental policies
  • Delivers treatment to referred patients using clinical protocols
  • Identifies barriers to patient and physician satisfaction and works to improve the process
  • Implements optimal patient care within an assigned caseload efficiently
  • Communicates effectively with healthcare team members including patients, families, and physicians
  • Develops and instructs patients on safe and appropriate exercises during treatment sessions
  • Promotes educational growth through attending in-services and contributing to the education of others
  • Prepares patients and families for discharge and ensures necessary resources are in place
  • Performs clinical skills accurately and assists with program development and marketing
  • Maintains cleanliness of work area and addresses environmental care concerns
