Overview

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Physical Therapist for a home health role in New Albany, Indiana. This position involves providing skilled therapy services to patients in their homes, primarily working with adult and geriatric patients recovering from various health conditions. The therapist will focus on enhancing patient safety, independence, and quality of life through tailored treatment plans and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one skilled therapy services to patients in their homes
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Perform gait and balance training, strength and endurance programs, and home safety assessments
  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercise programs and fall prevention strategies
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for coordinated patient care
  • Manage a caseload typically over a Monday through Friday schedule

Required skills

  • Physical Therapist license
  • 1 year of experience in home health
  • Familiarity with Homecare Homebase documentation
  • Knowledge of patient assessment and evaluation techniques
  • Experience in working with geriatric patients
