Overview

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Acute Physical Therapist for a 13-week outpatient role in Calhoun, Georgia. This position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a busy orthopedic caseload, providing high-quality, evidence-based care while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized plans of care
  • Provide manual therapy and therapeutic exercise interventions
  • Educate patients and families about treatment protocols and functional goals
  • Document treatments and communications in an electronic medical record system
  • Collaborate with other care team members as needed
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 12 patient visits per day

Required skills

  • Licensed Physical Therapist (PT), Compact Accepted
  • BLS certification
  • Experience in orthopedic assessment and post-surgical rehab
  • Skills in manual therapy and therapeutic exercise
  • Ability to provide patient education
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records
