Job Description

Overview

AMN Healthcare is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist (PT) to work in a school district in Odessa, Delaware. In this role, you will conduct assessments, create treatment plans, and provide therapy services to help students reduce pain and improve their physical abilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with school staff to help students restore and maintain physical functions
  • Screen and evaluate students referred for Physical Therapy
  • Diagnose movement dysfunction and create personalized treatment plans
  • Provide evidence-based direct and consultative therapy services
  • Maintain accurate documentation and billing as per standards
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, district staff, and families

Required skills

  • Active Physical Therapy (PT) license in Delaware
  • Graduate from an accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program
  • Pass the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
  • Clear and articulate communication skills
  • Ability to explain results to a varied audience
  • Previous school experience is a plus
  • Completion of a criminal record and background check
