Overview

The Physical Therapist position at AMN Healthcare involves providing in-home therapy services to patients in Eufaula, Alabama. This role focuses on improving patient mobility, safety, and independence through individualized care plans and therapeutic interventions, primarily for adult and geriatric patients recovering from various conditions.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one physical therapy services to patients in their homes
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized plans of care
  • Implement treatment interventions focused on mobility, safety, strength, and independence
  • Complete in-home evaluations and design therapeutic exercise programs
  • Provide gait and balance training to patients
  • Recommend durable medical equipment as needed
  • Coach patients and caregivers on home safety and fall prevention
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for coordinated care
  • Document care using an electronic medical record system
  • Travel between patients' homes within an assigned territory

Required skills

  • Licensed Physical Therapist
  • 1 year of home health experience
  • Experience with Homecare Homebase documentation preferred
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload
