Overview

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join their team in San Antonio, Texas. This role involves providing Occupational Therapy services to patients through assessment, treatment planning, and implementation, while also engaging in departmental operations and program development.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for inpatients and outpatients
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with patient/family participation
  • Adhere to documentation policies including patient evaluations and progress notes
  • Participate in patient and family care conferences and departmental meetings
  • Counsel patients and families regarding care and treatment
  • Assist in the supervision and coordination of Occupational Therapy programs
  • Orient new associates and schedule patients for quality coverage
  • Engage in performance improvement activities
  • Maintain awareness of community resources for referrals
  • Identify educational opportunities for self and the community

Required skills

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university
  • Licensed as an Occupational Therapist by the Texas Board
  • BLS certification
  • Knowledge of modalities and equipment used in Occupational Therapy
