Overview

The Occupational Therapist is accountable for assessing, planning, evaluating, and implementing care for patients requiring occupational therapy. This role involves adhering to the Occupational Therapy Practice Act and ensuring safe care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess and plan care for patients requiring occupational therapy
  • Evaluate and implement therapy interventions
  • Utilize and supervise volunteers, students, support staff, and assistants
  • Interpret and implement physician orders
  • Ensure safe care and protection of confidential information
  • Communicate professionally and create a positive work environment
  • Perform other diverse duties as requested
