Overview

AMN Healthcare is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a school district in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The OT will work with students of all ages, focusing on improving motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive functions that impact academic performance and self-care skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with the school district to achieve academic goals for students
  • Screen and evaluate students referred to Occupational Therapy
  • Collect and report data accurately
  • Provide evidence-based direct and consultative therapy services
  • Maintain documentation and billing according to district and state standards
  • Train teachers and staff on strategies to enhance student participation
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, district staff, and families about student performance

Required skills

  • Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license in South Carolina
  • Initial certification through NBCOT
  • Clear communication skills
  • Ability to explain results to diverse audiences
  • Previous school experience preferred
