Job Description

Overview

BJC HealthCare is seeking a licensed or registered Occupational Therapist to join their collaborative team at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. This role involves providing skilled occupational therapy services to patients in an acute care setting, focusing on individualized treatment and rehabilitation. Therapists will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to create effective treatment plans aimed at improving patient outcomes across a variety of conditions.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish treatment plans based on patient evaluations and discharge needs
  • Educate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Delegate responsibilities to assistants, techs, and students as needed
  • Complete documentation in accordance with departmental policies
  • Provide assessments, reassessments, and consultations for Occupational Therapy services

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Occupational Therapist License
  • Collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience in patient assessments and treatment planning
