Overview

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a 13-week home health assignment in Jefferson City, Missouri. In this role, you will provide skilled services to adult and geriatric patients in their homes, focusing on enhancing safety, independence, and quality of life through personalized therapy plans.

Key responsibilities

  • Travel between patient residences to provide therapy services
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations for patients
  • Develop individualized treatment plans
  • Conduct home safety and fall risk assessments
  • Provide ADL (Activities of Daily Living) and IADL (Instrumental Activities of Daily Living) training
  • Educate caregivers on care strategies
  • Recommend adaptive equipment
  • Coordinate services with a multidisciplinary care team
  • Document all care using an electronic medical record system

Required skills

  • Occupational Therapist license
  • 1 year of home health experience
  • Knowledge of homecare documentation
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills
