Job Description

Overview

The Therapist / Occupational Therapist plays a pivotal role in planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care activities within a pediatric therapy context. This position involves collaborating with clinical associates to deliver quality care while addressing patient and physician satisfaction through effective communication and resource utilization.

Key responsibilities

  • Document progress notes and treatments according to departmental policies
  • Deliver treatment to patients following clinical protocols
  • Identify and address barriers to patient and physician satisfaction
  • Implement optimal patient care within assigned caseload efficiently
  • Enter charges accurately and timely for treatments and equipment
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families
  • Develop and instruct patients on safe exercise programs
  • Attend educational meetings and contribute to co-worker and community education
  • Prepare patients and families for discharge, ensuring resources are in place
  • Perform clinical skills accurately and maintain cleanliness of the department
