Job Description

Overview

AMN Healthcare is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) for a school district in Odessa, Delaware, starting July 6, 2026. The OT will work with students of all ages to address motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive functions that affect their academic success and social participation.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with the district as part of a collaborative team to support students' academic goals
  • Screen and evaluate students referred to Occupational Therapy
  • Collect data and report findings appropriately
  • Provide evidence-based direct and consultative therapy services
  • Maintain accurate documentation and billing per district and state standards
  • Provide training and resources to teachers and staff
  • Communicate clearly with teachers, district staff, and families regarding student performance

Required skills

  • Occupational Therapist license in Delaware
  • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Initial certification through NBCOT (preferred)
  • Clear and articulate communication skills
  • Ability to explain results to a varied audience
  • Experience in a school setting is a plus
