Job Description

Overview

AMN Healthcare is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) to work in a school district in Newark, Delaware. The OT will primarily provide services to children, focusing on enhancing motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive functions that affect various aspects of a student's life.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team to support students in achieving academic goals
  • Screen and evaluate students referred for Occupational Therapy
  • Collect and report data on student progress
  • Provide evidence-based direct and consultative therapy services
  • Maintain documentation and billing in accordance with district and state standards
  • Train and provide resources to teachers and staff on effective strategies
  • Communicate with teachers, district staff, and families about student performance

Required skills

  • Occupational Therapy license in Delaware
  • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Initial certification through NBCOT (preferred)
  • Communication skills to explain results to diverse audiences
  • Experience in a school setting (preferred)
  • Background check completion
