Overview

AMN Healthcare is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) to work with a school district in Odessa, Delaware. The OT will be responsible for providing therapy services to children, focusing on motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive functions that impact their academic performance and social participation.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with the district as part of a collaborative team to support students' academic goals
  • Screen and evaluate students referred for Occupational Therapy
  • Collect data and report findings accurately
  • Provide evidence-based direct and consultative therapy services
  • Maintain documentation and billing in accordance with district and state standards
  • Train teachers and staff on strategies to enhance student participation
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, district staff, and families about student progress

Required skills

  • Occupational Therapy degree from an accredited program
  • Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license in Delaware
  • Clear communication skills
  • Ability to explain results to diverse audiences
  • Experience in a school setting preferred
  • New graduates are accepted
