Job Description

Overview

The Test Engineer II position at JABIL CIRCUIT, INC in Prince George, VA is focused on supporting a new factory startup for manufacturing large form-factor equipment. The role involves developing and maintaining test procedures for electronic circuit board production, overseeing recruiting and training, and ensuring effective communication within a team as well as across departments.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain test procedures, hardware, and software for electronic circuit boards.
  • Recruit and interview Process Technicians while coaching them in the hiring process.
  • Monitor team member turnover and identify improvements for retention.
  • Create and validate training curriculum for staff development.
  • Develop measurable goals and evaluate team performance against operational metrics.
  • Conduct failure analysis and support manufacturing with tester debugging.
  • Generate reports and documentation of test data and procedures.
  • Train production testing staff in new procedures and safety protocols.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in electronics test engineering.
  • Experience with medium/high-voltage electrical testing and equipment.
  • HIPOT testing experience, certification preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to create technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of high-voltage safety practices and relevant training compliance.
