Overview

Airgain Inc. is looking for a highly skilled Wi-Fi Test Engineer to join their team in Vero Beach, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, executing, and reporting on comprehensive test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of Wi-Fi-enabled products, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and develop test plans, strategies, and methodologies for Wi-Fi testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve Wi-Fi-related issues.
  • Execute and report on test cases and scripts to validate Wi-Fi product functionality.
  • Perform system-level testing on Wi-Fi features including connectivity, security, and throughput.
  • Set up and maintain test environments and equipment for Wi-Fi testing.
  • Conduct Wi-Fi signal analysis using specialized tools for troubleshooting.
  • Keep up to date with the latest Wi-Fi technologies and industry trends.
  • Provide clear reports on test results and optimization recommendations.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience with Wi-Fi communication protocols (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax).
  • Experience in Wi-Fi testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles and configurations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements for Wi-Fi products.
  • Proficiency in using Wi-Fi testing tools (spectrum analyzers, traffic generators, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Java).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality results.
