Overview

Airgain Inc. is looking for a highly skilled Wi-Fi Test Engineer to join their team in Leander, Texas. The role involves designing, developing, executing, and reporting on test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of Wi-Fi-enabled products, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and cases for Wi-Fi products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve Wi-Fi-related issues
  • Conduct system-level testing of Wi-Fi features such as network connectivity and security
  • Create reports on test results, including performance metrics and optimization recommendations
  • Maintain test environments, including Wi-Fi networks and related equipment
  • Stay updated on latest Wi-Fi technologies and industry trends

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in wireless communication protocols, particularly Wi-Fi
  • Familiarity with Wi-Fi testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles and configurations
  • Experience with Wi-Fi testing in consumer electronics or networking devices
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance for Wi-Fi products
  • Proficiency in Wi-Fi testing tools and RF principles
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages like Python or Java
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
