Overview

At Airgain, the Test Engineer role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of Wi-Fi-enabled products. The chosen candidate will design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize product performance and resolve Wi-Fi-related issues.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop, execute, and report results from test plans and test cases for Wi-Fi products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define Wi-Fi test requirements
  • Develop and maintain test environments, including Wi-Fi networks and test equipment
  • Perform system-level testing of Wi-Fi features and troubleshoot issues
  • Conduct Wi-Fi signal analysis using specialized tools and equipment
  • Provide clear reports on test results, performance metrics, and optimization recommendations

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in Wi-Fi testing and wireless communication protocols
  • Proficiency in Wi-Fi testing tools and methodologies
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles and configurations
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and Wi-Fi certification processes
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Linux)
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools
