Overview

Boeing is seeking a Test and Inspection Embedded Software Engineer (Experienced or Senior) to support their Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) and avionics Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Software Engineering teams in Hazelwood, MO. The role involves developing, integrating, testing, and debugging software for controlling NDI and ATE equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards while promoting a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Support design, development, testing, and maintenance of embedded software for ATE and NDI devices
  • Translate customer requirements into software design for embedded systems
  • Develop and integrate code for embedded systems software
  • Enhance stability and performance of embedded software systems
  • Conduct testing and debugging for embedded devices
  • Implement emerging technologies and frameworks relevant to software development
  • Evaluate internal and supplier software team performance
  • Assist in embedded software project management
  • Communicate technical information across multiple skill areas

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance
  • 5+ years of experience in programming with C, C++, or C#
  • 5+ years in embedded software development
  • Experience with automation testing and tools
  • Experience with embedded software integration
  • Knowledge of robotics and inspection hardware (e.g., LIDAR, Ultrasound)
  • Experience with GitLab and project management
  • Understanding of various engineering disciplines
  • Familiarity with networking and communication protocols
