Overview

Emery Jensen Distribution is seeking a Territory Manager for the Northeast Region to drive sales growth within the hardlines and pro lumber industry. This role involves developing strategic sales plans, managing customer relationships, and collaborating with the internal team to achieve sales objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to grow the customer base.
  • Foster strong business relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Organize and prioritize weekly customer sales routes and calls.
  • Input leads and new business opportunities into Salesforce weekly.
  • Conduct 1-2 prospect visits per week and complete 8-10 store visits weekly.
  • Communicate effectively with the leadership team regarding successes and challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues.

Required skills

  • 5 years of B2B sales experience preferred
  • Experience in hardware sales and pro lumber
  • Excellent listening and negotiating skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strategic thinking with sales growth plan development skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Willingness to travel extensively
