Overview

Emery Jensen Distribution, a business unit of Ace Hardware Corporation, is seeking a Territory Manager for the Maryland and Washington DC areas. This role is focused on increasing profitable sales with both current and potential customers in the hardlines industry, emphasizing building strong relationships and executing strategic sales plans.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver annual sales and profit objectives through a strategic sales plan.
  • Execute and implement new sales programs at the store level.
  • Develop and foster strong business relationships with key decision makers.
  • Organize and prioritize weekly customer visits to meet company goals.
  • Communicate effectively with the internal sales support and leadership teams.
  • Resolve customer issues and questions in a timely manner.
  • Share ideas and sales successes with team members.

Required skills

  • 5 years of Business to Business sales experience preferred.
  • Hardware sales experience is a plus.
  • Excellent listening and negotiating skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking abilities focused on sales growth.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and opportunities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Preferred residency in Washington DC or Baltimore, MD metro areas.
