Overview

The Territory Manager at Carter Machinery will be responsible for the rental and sale of new and used machines, along with allied equipment and dealer services within their assigned territory in Waldorf, Maryland. This role involves building and maintaining customer relationships, servicing existing clients, and prospecting new customers while working with a strong emphasis on achieving sales objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the rental and sale of machines and allied equipment within the assigned territory
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
  • Service existing customers with scheduled visits and prospect potential new customers
  • Develop and execute effective action plans to achieve sales goals
  • Interpret data and make quick decisions to handle customer situations
  • Negotiate and close sales deals effectively
  • Promote a positive customer experience

Required skills

  • Previous outside sales experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred)
  • Excellent customer satisfaction skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong PC skills and adaptability to changing technology
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills
