Overview

MI Windows and Doors is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Accounts Receivable Associate for a 3-month assignment in Nokomis, Florida, with potential for extension. This role will support the finance team by accurately applying customer payments, reconciling transactions, and maintaining accounts receivable records in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Post and apply customer payments to open accounts receivable balances
  • Reconcile cash postings to bank deposits and resolve discrepancies
  • Collect and review remittance data from financial institutions
  • Clear deposits and ensure payments are applied accurately and timely
  • Assist Credit Representatives with applying credit memos to invoices
  • Support SOX compliance and audit requests by gathering required documentation
  • Scan, index, and maintain organized financial records
  • Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate reconciliation of transactions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High school diploma required
  • Basic college-level accounting coursework
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or accounts receivable
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Proficiency with 10-key data entry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
