Overview

The Teller - Bilingual position at Midland States Bank in Rockford, Illinois is focused on providing exceptional customer service to a diverse clientele. This role includes handling banking transactions, managing a cash drawer, and cross-selling bank services while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide customer service and process banking transactions for business and individual clients
  • Manage and balance a cash drawer throughout the day
  • Verify cash and checks for deposits, ensuring accuracy and preventing fraud
  • Assist customers with transactions and ATM operations
  • Identify customer needs to recommend appropriate banking products
  • Serve as a relief or backup teller at other locations as needed
  • Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act
  • Translate and interpret documents as needed for bilingual customers
  • Participate in community activities sponsored by the bank
