Role Description The Technology Teacher is a part-time, on-site role located in Staunton, VA. This role is responsible for planning and delivering engaging technology lessons for students in Preschool through Fifth Grade, introducing age-appropriate digital skills, computer literacy, and safe technology use. Day-to-day tasks include designing standards-aligned instructional materials, integrating educational technology into classroom activities, assessing student progress, and providing differentiated support to meet diverse learning needs. The Technology Teacher collaborates with other educators to enhance the overall curriculum with tech-based projects and supports staff in effectively using classroom technology tools. Additional responsibilities include classroom management, communication with families, participation in staff meetings, and contributing to the school's Christian-based, inclusive, and diverse learning environment. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Teaching and Education skills, with experience working with early childhood and elementary-age students. Candidates should possess Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development skills to create effective, age-appropriate technology instruction. Candidates should possess Educational Technology skills, including familiarity with classroom devices, learning platforms, and digital safety best practices. Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Technology, or a related field; appropriate teaching certification or licensure preferred. Ability to support a Christian-based, inclusive, and diverse learning environment while maintaining professional, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory practices. Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues. Prior experience teaching technology or integrating technology into instruction is highly beneficial.
