Overview

The Université TÉLUQ is seeking a Technician in Information Technology with a focus on multimedia integration. The role involves technical work related to programming, multimedia integration, web accessibility development, and quality assurance testing, all under the guidance of a designated professional.

Key responsibilities

  • Participate in detailed analysis of specifications for multimedia systems or environments.
  • Assist and advise on the use of multimedia software and technologies.
  • Develop and optimize web components, educational tools, and accessibility tools for courses.
  • Program various functionalities of web and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to select and implement technologies for educational projects.
  • Design and realize accessible multimedia projects using specialized graphic design and programming tools.
  • Conduct appropriate checks and tests to ensure the functionality of deliverables.
  • Correct errors and resolve issues as needed.
  • Update knowledge related to the field of activity.
  • May lead support staff and assist in training and task allocation.

Required skills

  • Diploma in computer science, multimedia integration or equivalent education.
  • 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Moodle development.
  • Proficient in programming languages for both frontend and backend web development.
  • Mastery of HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS (SASS), CMS/LMS, jQuery, PHP, and MySQL.
  • Familiarity with a PHP framework, GitHub and GitLab.
  • Good understanding of MySQL databases and SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WAI, SGQRI 008-01).
