Job Description

Overview

As a Mobile Trailer Technician at TEN, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repair services on trailers and equipment at customer locations. This role is crucial to ensuring the reliability and performance of various types of trailers, from dry vans to specialized equipment.

Key responsibilities

  • Travel to customer locations for preventative and scheduled maintenance
  • Diagnose and repair equipment according to company and manufacturer specifications
  • Repair customer and fleet owned units as requested
  • Write detailed explanations of work performed and review work orders
  • Ensure accurate completion of work orders and paperwork
  • Maintain and organize work tools
  • Submit completed work orders to the mobile manager
  • Ensure compliance with industry safety regulations and standards
  • Keep accurate records of work performed, including parts and labor

Required skills

  • Experience as a Trailer Service Technician or similar role
  • Knowledge of trailer systems, including electrical, suspension, braking, and structural components
  • Experience in fabrication, welding, and/or tailgate repairs (an asset)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in French
  • Ability to safely lift up to 85 pounds
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
