Overview

Kruger Wayagamack inc. is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team in Trois-Rivières, Quebec. The role involves supporting various departments in process improvement and lab analysis while adhering to environmental and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Support and collaborate with departments on process improvement and control
  • Collect samples from various processes in the factory
  • Perform laboratory analyses
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Record results in databases and update based on observed issues
  • Ensure technical follow-up on research and development projects
  • Operate the secondary treatment process according to standards
  • Report anomalies and ensure proper dosing of nutrients and chemicals
  • Manage inventory related to their operational sector and place orders as needed

Required skills

  • DEC in water treatment, pulp and paper, analytical chemistry, cellulose processing technology, chemical engineering, or
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in an industrial environment, preferably in pulp and paper
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team collaboration and independent work capabilities
  • Ability to organize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Interpersonal communication skills
  • Information processing and report writing skills
